On March 10, 2025, we lost Wheesung (Choi Whee-sung), a voice that defined 2000s R&B with his soulful depth and explosive talent. He was only 43. As a fan, hearing this sudden news broke my heart, but his music remains a timeless gift that stays with us forever. With a heavy heart, I want to honor him by sharing his legendary albums, hoping to bring a little solace to all of us who loved him.
1st Album - Like A Movie (2002)
This debut album introduced me to Wheesung. The title track "Can’t We?" with its heartfelt melody and his pleading voice won me over instantly, launching him to stardom. Songs like "Untold Story" still linger in my soul. It’s a treasure of his youthful passion.

To me, this is Wheesung at his peak. "With Me" showcases his powerful R&B energy, while "The Day We Meet Again" and "One Year" are unforgettable gems. "One Year" was one of his favorites, and it holds a special place in our hearts too.

After a two-year break, this album brought his evolved emotions to life. "Heartbreaking Story" echoes his signature tenderness, resonating deeply with us.

Wheesung wasn’t just a singer to me—he was a genius lyricist, producer, and vocal coach. He gave us hits like Younha’s "Password 486," T-ara’s "Crazy Because of You," and TWICE’s "Dance The Night Away." His music lifted my darkest days and framed my happiest memories. Though he’s gone, his voice stays with us. As a fan, I hope we can find strength in his songs together. May he rest peacefully in heaven. Rest in peace, Wheesung.
